Radish (scientific name: Raphanus raphanistrum subsp. sativus), also known as daikon, luobo, and lazi (pronounced similarly to "latta"), is commonly referred to as "caitou" in the Sihsien, Eastern Fujian, Minnan, Chaoshan regions, and Taiwan (romanized as tshài-thâu). It is a herbaceous plant in the Brassicaceae family and is a subspecies of wild radish.
